Pathways
Toastmastersでは、「パブリックスピーキング」、「対人間コミュニケーション」、「戦略的リーダーシップ」、「マネジメント」、「自信」という５つのコンピテンシーの開発を目的として、Pathwaysというオンライン教育システムを用いています。クラブの会員になることで自動的にToastmaster InternationalサイトのPathwaysシステムにアクセスが可能となります。Pathwaysには学びたい過程に応じて6つのPathが用意されています。
At Toastmasters, we use an educational program called "Pathways" to develop five core competencies: Public Speaking, Interpersonal Communication, Strategic Leadership, Management, and Confidence.
Members can access the Pathways system through the Toastmasters International website.
それぞれのPathにはLevel1から5の課題が用意されています。それぞれのPathに応じた課題はそれぞれのコンピテンシーの開発に効果的な課題となっており、これらに取り組んでいくことによって、次第に５つのコアコンピテンシーが開発されていきます。課題の学習は、基本的に自ら学習することになりますが、分からないことや、学習の進め方については、熟練したメンターが指導してくれます。
The Pathways program is organized into five levels, from Level 1 to Level 5.
Each project is designed to help members develop specific core competencies.
Members work through the materials independently, and experienced mentors are available to support their learning.
