Speechcraft Session Report – 7/26

今回のテーマは "Know Your Purpose" でした。

最初のIce Breaker Activityでは、参加者同士でお互いに質問をし合いながら自己紹介を行いました。質問内容は「ここに来た理由」「好きな過ごし方」「夏の予定」などで、相手のことを知るきっかけとなる内容でした。

質問への回答をもとに、それぞれが相手について短いスピーチを行いました。アイスブレイクを通じて場の雰囲気が和らぎ、参加者同士の共通点や新たな一面を知ることができました。また、相手の話をよく聞き、その内容を整理して伝える練習にもなりました。

メインスピーチでは、ビジョンを持つことの大切さや旅行での体験談を通して、焦らず自分のペースで歩み続けることの大切さが語られました。実体験に基づく話には説得力があり、参加者の心に強く響くメッセージとなりました。身近なエピソードを交えながら語られたことで、テーマがより印象深く伝わりました。

教育セッションでは、「Know Your Purpose」の考え方について学びました。スピーチでは、自分が何を伝えたいのか、聞き手にどのような行動や気づきを持ち帰ってほしいのかという目的を明確にすることで、より印象的で説得力のあるスピーチにつながることを確認しました。

今回の活動を通して、自分自身の目的や目標を改めて見つめ直すとともに、スピーチにおいても目的を意識することの重要性を学ぶ、有意義な機会となりました。

The theme of this session was "Know Your Purpose."

We started with an Ice Breaker Activity, where participants interviewed each other using questions such as why they came to the meeting, how they like to spend their free time, and their plans for the summer. These conversations helped us get to know one another in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.

In the main speech, the speaker emphasized the importance of having a clear vision and shared personal travel experiences to illustrate the value of not rushing through life. The real-life stories delivered a powerful message that resonated with the audience. By using relatable experiences, the speaker made the theme even more memorable and meaningful.

During the educational session, we explored the concept of "Know Your Purpose." We learned that a speech becomes more impactful and persuasive when the speaker has a clear purpose—knowing exactly what they want to communicate and what action or insight they hope the audience will take away.

Overall, this session provided a valuable opportunity to reflect on our own goals and purpose while reinforcing the importance of speaking with intention to create a lasting impact on our audience.
